The purpose of the work is elaborate the physical and technological principles for obtaining quasicrystalline materials, as of coatings and powder semi-finished products with a wide range of performance characteristics. Research methods: mechanical tests for tensile, bending, determination of hardness and adhesive strength, optical, scanning microscopy, X-ray diffraction analysis. The scientific bases for the creation of new heat-resistant wrought aluminum alloy based on Al-Fe-V-Si and Al-Fe-Cr systems, which have on 20% increased strength in the temperature range of 20… 300 ºC compared to known aluminum alloys, have been developed. The optimal ratio of nanoquasicrystalline and crystalline reinforcing particles in the developed alloys is found, which provides an increase in a number of mechanical characteristics. The physical principles of creation of Al-Cu-Fe quasicrystalline protective coatings by the high-speed air-fuel spraying, with high adhesive strength (up to 30 MPa) and high corrosion resistance, are determined. Developed heat-resistant Al-Fe-V-Si and Al-Fe-Cr alloys and protective high-strength coatings will find application primarily in the aerospace industry.
