The purpose of the work is to substantiate the theoretical foundations and develop practical recommendations for improving the functioning of the agro-food market for domestic business entities. Research methods – theoretical and historical generalization, grouping and comparison to substantiate theoretical propositions; a monographic method for a detailed study of the state and development of the economic mechanism of the markets of individual agro-food products, including the financial aspects of the problem; observation, formalization, analysis, synthesis for the study of the formation and development of the category of the economic mechanism of the development of agro-food markets; risk assessments - to develop a forecast of the main risks of the operation and development of the markets of the main types of agro-food and its production; forecasting – for forecasting the development of regional commodity parameters of the agro-food market; expert assessments - to determine the level of production and sales of agro-food products on the market, balance sheet - to develop a forecast of receipt, use, critical and rational levels of production of the main types of agro-food products; correlation-regression analysis - for the development of a comprehensive assessment of the effectiveness of the functioning of the markets of certain types of agro-food. The generalized scientific result of the work is the development of scientific and practical recommendations for increasing the efficiency of the agro-food market potential in modern conditions of development.
