Under our country's current socio-economic development conditions, these species are beyond effective control. In certain regions of the Carpathians, the invasion of these species occurs at a fairly high rate within semi-natural and anthropogenic habitat types. Cutting Heracleum sosnowskyi under the root at the beginning of flowering and regular systematic mowing of a number of model species under the conditions of timely and systematic application are effective methods of controlling the number of their populations, but these measures require a long-term and regular application. A calculation of the cost of Heracleum sosnowskyi control has been carried out, identifying mechanical control measures (treatment with herbicides using heavy equipment and mowing) as the cheapest. Manual control methods, which are cost-effective, should be used as alternatives where heavy machinery is not possible or herbicide use is legally restricted. Restoration of hay meadows after colonization by Heracleum sosnowskyi is quite possible, but it is accompanied by significant financial costs. An important prerequisite for the successful control of invasive species is the legislative framework, which provides for the personal responsibility of each landowner and land user for the control of invasive plant species. The monograph "Invasive plant species in the Ukrainian Carpathians: ecology, distribution and assessment of their impact on the environment" and methodical recommendations for the control of invasive species have been prepared.
