The proposed model takes into account the deformation that occurs due to the mismatch between the lattice parameters of the core and the shell and between the individual layers of the shell, the deformation due to surface curvature and the external hydrostatic pressure. Based on the method of self-consistent electron-deformation coupling, the deformation effects in the CdSe-core / ZnS/CdS/ZnS-shell quantum dots, which interact with human serum albumin, were investigated.
