The object of classification is a unified system of geospatial urban planning objects for the formation of urban cadastre databases. The classifier ensures a consistent structuring of the object composition of the urban cadastre, which by its nature is multithematic and integrates partial classifications of different classes of objects. The reserve capacity of the classifier and the potential of its flexible response to the development of the urban cadastre system are provided by applying the hierarchical method of classification. The principles of classification should ensure the functioning and regular development of the geoinformation system of the urban cadastre and management of settlements and territories. Accordingly, the coding should be done using the parallel coding method. The formation of a complete object composition of the urban cadastre was carried out taking into account the practice of developing urban planning documentation, conducting urban planning monitoring at the regional and local levels, current classifications approved by laws.
