The aim of the study: based on the study of the nature of clinical, ultrasonographic, biochemical, histochemical, morphological and physiological changes to find out the causes, clinical manifestations, physiological, biochemical, radiological, morphological signs of various forms of post-amputation pain syndrome and to develop pathogenetically sound methods of its prevention and treatment. The study is comprehensive and includes clinical, radiological, physiological (measurement of intraosseous and subfascial pressure, determination of oxygen tension in soft tissues, pain pressor sensitivity, electroneuromyography, optoelectronic plethysmography, non-invasive spectrophotometry), biochemical, morphological and statistical methods of post-amputation pain. The frequency, causes, peculiarities of the course, taking into account its physiological, biochemical and morphological manifestations, amputation technique, terms of primary prosthetics and quality of permanent prosthetics were studied, etiopathogenetic differentiated approaches to its treatment depending on the severity of pain syndrome were developed. The results of the work allow for a differentiated approach to the prevention and treatment of various forms of local pain syndrome. The proposed methods of prevention and treatment of post-amputation pain syndrome significantly expand the range of existing methods, eliminate the main pathogenetic factors and achieve positive results. The results obtained on the peculiarities of the influence of markers of lipid peroxidation, oxidative destruction of proteins, C-reactive protein and pro-inflammatory cytokines on the intensity and course of pain syndrome can be used not only in reconstructive surgery, but also in the medical practice for the objectification of pain.
