Phase equilibria and crystal structures of phases, their physic-chemical properties were determined. A new combined electrochemical-pyrolytic method for the synthesis of electrocatalysts based on titanium suboxides co-modified with platinum and palladium, a low-temperature (Т<600 K) method for the synthesis of multi-element silver- and chalcogen-containing compounds in the positive electrodes of electrochemical cells were developed. Novel thermodynamic approach was proposed for the purpose of evaluating thermal stability of the compounds in the temperature range of their practical use. Crystal-chemical approach for tuning and doping of oxide and intermetallic phases were developed. Experimental samples were created: 1) of oxide materials for cathodes for lithium-ion batteries with an extended service life and high specific characteristics (in particular, for an electrode based on the Ca0.3Pr0.7MnO3 phase, the content of intercalated lithium is 0.134 Li/f.u.); 2) of modern composite electrocatalysts based on titanium suboxides, jointly modified with Pt and Pd, with specified functional properties (in particular, as selective for the formation of hypochlorous acid from low-concentration chloride solutions for the oxidation of pollutants); 3) of effective thermoelectric materials based on Ag- and chalcogen-containing phases (in particular, the numerical values of the specific general and ionic electrical conductivity and the values of transfer numbers as a function of temperature characterize Ag17GaGeSe12 as a new superionic phase); 4) of new intermetallic phases as thermoelectric materials for the manufacture of thermoelectric generators or thermoelectric cooling devices (in particular, Ti1-xNbxNiSn).
