It was noted that the most promising way of obtaining carbon small-sized (up to tens of nm) nanoparticles of spherical structure is plasma chemical synthesis using a high-frequency electric discharge in liquid hydrocarbon substances. From liquid raw materials of aromatic and saturated hydrocarbons, as well as fluorocarbons, laboratory samples of carbon spheroidal nanoclusters were developed and isolated by the method of plasma chemical synthesis. Samples of nanospheres from liquid hydrocarbons with additives of metal complex compounds were synthesized under similar conditions. Metal complex compounds with a ligand environment in the form of Schiff bases with different orientation of the ligands were synthesized. The influence of the synthesized compounds on the oxidation kinetics of model liquid substrates was evaluated. On the example of Co-containing metal complexes, the possibility of inversion of the action (antioxidant - prooxidant) of additives of such chemical reagents on the oxidation of liquids at low temperatures is shown. A tribological study of the influence of spherical carbon nanoclusters on the anti-wear power of a jet aircraft fuel was carried out. A double mechanism of influence of carbon nanoclusters on increasing the anti-wear properties of liquid hydrocarbon motor fuels is shown. At low concentrations of the additive (about 10-4% wt.), this effect is due to the formation of supramolecular structures around nanoparticles in the liquid phase, and at higher concentrations - aggregation of nanoparticles among themselves and the deposition of these aggregates on solid frictional surfaces.
