Beketov national university of urban economy in Kharkiv popup.description2  In the paper, the experience regarding the issue of reducing costs and losses of hot water in centralized hot water supply systems is analyzed, and the following technical proposals are offered: - to carry out a complete replacement of distribution networks of hot water with plastic pipelines; - if necessary, install pressure regulators in buildings, and if possible, facade control systems in buildings. - to reduce water losses that are not accounted for by commercial metering units, it is necessary to introduce hot water metering devices with a sensitivity threshold of at least 0.001 m3/h into the centralized hot water supply system. Using the method of statistical modeling of the reliability of heat pipelines, statistical models of the dependence of the reliability indicators of pipelines of main heat networks on the period of operation for the long-term period in terms of various types of damage were developed and analyzed. The following reliability indicators were used: failure flow parameter, failure time and failure-free probability. The paper presents the results of research into the thermal inertial characteristics of the plate heat exchanger, which is installed at the operating thermal point of the educational building. The heating station includes an automatic regulation system that allows you to adjust the flow rate of the heat carrier for the heating needs of the building. A comparison of thermal inertial characteristics with a tubular heat exchanger was made.
