The object of research is electromagnetic, electromechanical and wave processes in space that affect the determination of the coordinates of the location of the object. The goal of the project is to develop a prototype mobile portable device for determining the direction of single shots. Research methods is computer calculations and experimental research in real conditions. It is shown that when using microphones of the required type in combination with a mathematical apparatus of a microprocessor and specific means of sound filtering, it is possible to determine the source of the sound of a shot at a distance of up to 1 km.
