Registration Date 07-01-2023 Organization Institute of Pedagogy of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2 At the first search and modelling stage of the scientific research the theoretical foundations of scientific support for teaching the Ukrainian language to 5-6th graders in institutions of general secondary education of Ukraine with instruction in the languages of national minorities in the context of implementing the model of multilingual education are defined, notably, the expediency of the key components of the methodology is determined and substantiated: principles and methods enhancing the contributing to the implementation of the tasks of the educational process, while taking into account the requirements of distance learning. The analysis of the available educational and methodological support for learning the Ukrainian language in to 5-6th grades, tips for teachers of the Ukrainian language as state authors of educational programs, textbooks, teaching aids are developed. The ascertaining stage of the pedagogical experiment was established and implemented by way of interviewing teachers and pupils through the Google form; quantitative and qualitative analysis and generalization of the results were carried out. Thus, the types of methods that require wider disclosure were ascertained, namely, 87.5% of respondents expressed the desire to learn more about the comparable method at the Ukrainian lessons, about various forms of application of the translation method and its use; some of the interviewed teachers emphasized that major difficulties emerge while spelling words, because pupils often mix letters from different languages. These aspects will be taken into account in the preparation of methodological materials. Furthermore, 93.3% of the interviewed teachers noted that a collection of text works in Ukrainian would be expedient for Ukrainian language lessons in 5-6th grades.
