The upper part of the profile clearly distinguishes arable and subarable layers (HEglar, HEglsubar), with a total thickness of 30 cm. The thickness of the seasonally gleyed horizon Ehgl is 14 cm, which is much smaller than in the fallow and more characteristic of virgin soil. Studies have found that the density of soil gradually increases with the depth from 1,33-1,36 g/cm3 in the HEglar, HEglsubar up to 1.65 g/cm3 in the horizon Pigl and 1.62 g/cm3 in parent rock (Pgl). The removal of soil from tillage affected the reaction of the soil solution. In the process of reforestation pH of the arable layer changed to a more natural for light-grey forest soil (4.48 units) with a hydrolytic acidity of 3.50 mg-eq/100 g of soil. There is a descending migration and reducing the available phosphorus of arable layers from 122 to 64.5 mg/kg in the process of reforestation and an increase in parent rock as a result of the podzolic process of soil formation and Ustic water regime. The removal of soil from cultivation also led to the migration of previously accumulated potassium to the lower layers of the profile. The results indicate a significant impact of agricultural activity on the morphological and physical properties of the light grey forest surface-gleyed soil, withdrawn from agricultural tillage. The processes of transformation of post-agricultural soil cause the change in its parameters towards natural analogues (forest or long-lasting fallow), but the impact of the cultivation and application of organo-mineral fertilizers on both the upper layers of the soil and throughout the profile is observed. The ustic water regime promotes migration down to the parent rock compounds, previously introduced with fertilizers and ameliorants. Product Description popup.authors Ilnytska Nadiya V.
