An antenna similar to the W7-X antenna operated with monopole phasing with a supplied high-frequency power of ~ 100 kW. The calculations of the trajectory of microwave rays confirmed the possibility of using the peripheral part of the radiation of the horn antenna to obtain information about the plasma under study. This makes it possible to further use refraction-based microwave diagnostic methods at installations for magnetic confinement of plasma, primarily in the U-2M stellarator, where it is not possible to change the angle of inclination of the horn antennas. A saw-tooth high-voltage voltage generator up to 4 kV with a frequency of (40 -:- 200) hertz was designed and created for scanning the energy of the ion energy analyzer. This makes it possible to measure the ion energy distribution based on the data of the recharging neutral flows in the range up to 18 keV at the Uragan-2M installation.
