Eight groups of mutations affecting morphological and physiological traits have been identified. It was found that the frequency of morphological and physiological mutations in the M2 generation was high and depended on the concentration of the mutagen and the treatment time - 6 and 16 hours. The frequency of morphological mutations in the variety Bereginya was at the level of 1.0 - 30.0%, and physiological mutations - 1.0 - 16.0%. The highest mutation frequency at the level of 30% was noted for the traits of the first (chlorophyll changes) and fourth groups (the structure of the stem, shoots and leaves) when treated with NMU at the concentration of 0.05% and 16 hours exposure.
