Semenenko Institute of geochemistry, mineralogy and ore formation popup.description2 According to the results of geochronological studies of clastogenic zircon from metasedimentary rocks of the Ingulo-Ingulets, Kryvyj Rig, Bilozerka, Central Azov series; Gulyaipilly and Kruta Balka strata and the Molochna formation, that the lower age limit of their formation is 2.6-2.7 Ga. It has been established that crustal magmatism of medium and acidic composition of the Bilozirka series and the Gulyaipilla suite is associated with the stage of transition from the Archaean to the Paleoproterozoic. It was determined that the Early Precambrian crust of the Vovchan and Gulyaipil blocks was formed between 3.9 and 2.1 Ga. Three stages of Paleoproterozoic granitoid magmatism and metamorphism have been identified on the Azov and Middle Dnieper megablocks - 2.2; 2.10-2.04 and 1.98-2.0 Ga. It was established that the plagiogranitoids of the Karatyuk complex of the Central Azov region were formed during melting of the lower crust under the influence of plumes 2.07-2.10 Ga. Their formation may be related to the activation of the mantle under the Azov domain during the formation of the East Sarmatian orogen about 2.1 Ga ago. The Sm-Nd model age of their protolith is about 3.4 Ga. The lower age limit of the formation of metasedimentary rocks of the Gliyivatka suite of the Kryvyi Rih series according to the dating of clastogenic zircon was determined - 2.1 Ga. A model of the formation of the Paleoproterozoic crust of the eastern part of the Ukrainian Shield is presented. Propositions for clarifying the chronostratigraphic scheme of the Ukrainian Shield are provided: 1). Move the Vovcha Formation from the Paleoarchean to the Paleoproterozoic; 2) Move the Central Azov series from the Neoarchaean to the Paleoproterozoic; 3). Move the Belozirka series to the Paleoproterozoic; 4). Kruta Balka suite move to the Paleoproterozoic; 5). Gliyivatka suite should be separated into a separate series. 6). Extend the geological time scale of rocks of the Ukrainian Shield to 4.0 Ga.
