Main theoretical results: 1. A comparative analysis of the key philosophical cosmogonic teachings, ideas and categories of Ukraine and the countries of the East and their reception in modern cultural practices was carried out. The peculiarities of the functioning of the Chinese-origin neo-religious movement Falun Gong on the territory of modern Ukraine were studied, and it was characterized as anti-totalitarian and opposed to the repressive practices of the Chinese government. 2. The specifics of the influence of Ukrainian religious and educational practices on the development of Chinese spiritual culture in the context of the missionary activity of Ukrainian church leaders have been revealed. 3. Worldview components formed on the basis of the interaction between the cultures of Ukraine and the East are defined. The concept of the World Tree as dominant in the Ukrainian ethno-cultural tradition and the culture of Ancient India is examined through the prism of mythology. 4. The place of the Chinese theme in the philosophy of the famous Ukrainian philosopher and educator Hryhoriy Skovoroda is clarified. 5.
