As a result of the research, it was established that during automatic flux welding of new martensitic chromium steels, the welds of the 0.1С-9Cr-Mo(Mo+W)-NbV alloying system are prone to crystallization and tempering cracks. Experimentally, it has been shown that the sensitivity to the formation of cracks is manifested when the silicon content in chrome-alloyed welds increases by more than ~0.3% for the welding of rotating elements of new steels with 9...12% Сr. Based on a comparative assessment of the welding and technological properties of fluxes for welding high-chromium and high-alloy steels, a study of the influence of flux/wire combinations on the composition of the weld metal and their technological strength, it is shown that the SFT flux, which provides high purity of the deposited metal with respect to the presence of gases, harmful impurities, does not affect its chemical composition and does not lead to an increase in its silicon content. The result is resistance of welds against hot and reheating cracks.
