The effectiveness of the bacteriostatic action of metal oxide nanoparticles obtained in an environmentally friendly way to impart antimicrobial properties and virucidal activity to textile materials has been studied. Studies of the properties and selection of polymeric binders were carried out in order to develop formaldehyde-free polymer-colloidal antibacterial systems for the treatment of fabrics of various raw composition and purpose. The disk method was used to determine the antimicrobial activity of composite polymer films and samples of textile materials filled with metal nanoparticles based on the developed polymer-colloidal systems. Studies have been carried out to establish the effect of antibacterial treatment on the hygienic and physical and mechanical properties of textile materials. The dermal action of the most used silver nanoparticles was assessed and the absence of a toxic effect of the textile material treated with an antimicrobial composition was shown. The optimal technological parameters for the development of technology for finishing textile materials have been established and the features of the process of finishing them with polymer-colloidal systems have been determined.
