Karazin Kharkiv National University popup.description2  A method and software for photometric reduction of LROS NAC images with high resolution (up to 0.5 m/pix) have been developed. They are based on photogrammetry and photoclinometry and allow obtaining maps of parameters of the phase function, maps of local slopes and digital relief maps with the resolution of LRO NAC input images. This method was used to study the area of the photometric anomaly - the irregular mare formation Ina. The analysis revealed the incompleteness or misconception of previously proposed models of the formation of such formations. As an appendix, a high-quality digital elevation map of the Ina formation area with a resolution of 0.5 m/pixel was constructed. Improvements and optimization of the software for constructing maps of parameters of the photometric function of the lunar surface based on data from the LROC WAC camera have been carried out. This allows us to map large areas with an area of hundreds of square degrees with a resolution of 75 m/pixel, involving the analysis of phase curves of 500-800 values for each pixel. The software is linearly scalable to the number of PC processors, which allows to build global maps of parameters in the future. The obtained results can be used in the planning and implementation of space missions to the Moon and other atmosphereless bodies of the Solar System by the space agencies of the world. They are also of practical importance for various space missions, for aerospace reconnaissance of territories for military and civilian purposes, for the tasks of environmental and economic monitoring of the Earth's surface.
