The main features of the selected services of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) were considered and they were classified according to the main types of research activities: 1. Search, reproduction, accumulation of data on the research problem and its coverage in the literature, ascertaining data (DARIAH Science Gateway, Open-AIRE). 2. Representation, processing, and visualization of patterns in data, including sharing (de.NBI Cloud, infrastructure manager, IM). 3. Analysis and interpretation of results (Agora Resource Portfolio Management Tool, Jupyter Notebook). 4. Verification, discussion, collective assessment of results, review (Resource Portfolio Management Tool). 5. Implementation, publication, application (DARIAH-Campus, Deep training facility). A model for using COSOS in the educational process has been developed, which contains three main blocks: basic, middle, and higher. For each level, a methodology is defined, which involves the use of individual cloud services, their groups, or directly the tools of the EOSC. The components of open science competence are substantiated and grouped into four main categories: skills and experience required for open access publishing; skills and experience in data research, management, analysis/use/reuse, and dissemination; skills and experience working within and outside one's disciplinary community; skills and expertise arising from a general and broad conception of science as researchers engage with the wider public to enhance the impact of science and research.
