The object of the study is the incidence of intestinal parasitosis, the invasiveness of Blastocystis spp. adult population and patients with diseases of the gastrointestinal tract (GI). The purpose of the study is to study the indicators of invasiveness, the species composition of the causative agents of intestinal parasitosis, quantitative characteristics of parasitic invasion in patients with various diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and persons examined for diagnostic purposes. When examining the adult population for diagnostic purposes, it was established that the frequency of detection of intestinal parasites was (25.3±2.6)%. The most affected were people over 60 years old - 42.9%. The vast majority among the detected intestinal parasites belonged to Blastocystis spp. (95.4%). The frequency of detection of blastocyst invasion (BI) among patients with various gastroenterological diagnoses was established. In inflammatory diseases of the upper gastrointestinal tract Blastocystis spp. found in (17.9±6.7)% of patients; in patients with hepatobiliary system pathology – (29.8±7.9)%; with PCOS - in (31.7±7.2)%. The highest incidence was found in patients with inflammatory bowel diseases - (36.4±8.0)%, the indicator is significantly higher than in patients with diseases of the upper gastrointestinal tract (p<0.05). Complaints occurred with approximately the same frequency in both infected and non-infested Blastocystis spp, which indicates the absence of specific complaints in BI. At the same time, in individuals with BI, the percentage of people with complaints was higher than in non-infested Blastocystis spp. (25.9% and 13.0%, p < 0.05). Among the detected morphological forms, vacuolar forms prevailed in HD, and granular forms prevailed in GP. The amoeboid form of Blastocystis sp. was detected only in patients with diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.
