The subject of research is the influence of the effectiveness of fire protection systems on the consequences of a fire. The purpose of the work is to improve the methods of assessing individual fire risk by substantiating the impact of fire protection systems on the consequences of a fire. Analytical methods are used in the work, in particular, a comprehensive analysis and generalization of previously performed works on evaluating the effectiveness of fire protection systems and the impact of their operation on the estimated value of individual fire risk; methods of probability theories and mathematical processing of statistical data; mathematical modeling of the processes of fire occurrence and spread for the purpose of assessing individual fire risk using field models; method for the presence of emissions and quasi-emissions in research results (Grabs); the Brooks method; the dichotomy method for justifying the size of the computational grid of the computer model; the method of assessing individual fire risk according to DSTU 8828; general risk assessment method; experiment planning method. The results and their novelty consist in the study of the influence of the effectiveness of fire protection systems on the value of individual fire risk using the methods of probability theories, which are implemented on the basis of statistical data. Within the framework of the NDR, a draft of amendment No. 1 to DSTU 8828 "Fire safety. General provisions" was developed, which is expected to be approved by order of the National Standardization Body of Ukraine. The results of the work will be used in the future by units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, design and expert organizations, compliance assessment bodies in the fields of construction and fire safety.
