The purpose of the work is to simulate the movement of the bus on the route using driving cycles that simulate it for further selection and justification of the type of rolling stock, its parameters and driving modes. It is proposed to simulate the movement of the bus on the route "Str. Myloslavska - Art. metro "Pochayna" (Kyiv) using a driving cycle, in which each section of the route is simulated using a section of the driving cycle of one of two types and includes different phases of movement. Dependencies for the calculation and characteristics of each movement phase of the proposed driving cycle are determined. Ways to reduce the level of external noise of cars by using a liquid muffler of the exhaust gases of internal combustion engines and resonator plates to cover the housings are proposed.
