The object of the study is the mining and industrial areas of the Carpathian region with the most intense negative impact on the environment. The subject of the research is an environmental and geological analysis of the natural and economic systems of the Carpathian region and the problem of their optimization. The purpose of the work is to study the most important aspects of the geo-ecological state of the mining and mining areas of the Carpathian region with the most intense negative impact on the environment in order to solve a number of environmental protection problems, to ensure the sustainable development of territorial communities, and to eliminate existing environmental problems in the mining area -mining enterprises, development of scientifically based recommendations for further post-mining transformation to find options for their solution. The identified tasks were solved through multi-year complex monitoring observations, environmental and geological analysis of the natural and economic systems of Yavoriv, Rozdil, Stebnyk, Kalush and Solotvyno mining and industrial districts and problems of their optimization, testing of underground waters, and industrial waste. In each individual case, various options for solving the existing problems are proposed: within the limits of the Yavoriv and Rozdil mining and industrial districts - the creation of recreation areas along the shores of lakes on the site of former quarries, the creation of renewable energy facilities, reclamation of disturbed lands; within the boundaries of Stebnyk and Kalush districts – control over the karstological situation, reclamation of salinization sources, creation of recreation areas at the site of karst sinkholes and the Dombrov quarry; within the boundaries of the Solotvyno mining and industrial district – reclamation of karst territories and restoration Product Description popup.authors Voloshyn Petro K.
