Beketov national university of urban economy in Kharkiv popup.description2  In the research work, an electromechanical unit is being developed, which combines several technological functions in one device. The novelty of the project is that such a combination is realized not due to the combined installation of various units in one housing, but due to the principle of operation of specific induction machines with an external hollow solid (ferromagnetic) rotor. The object of the research is multifunctional energy converters (MFEC) of technological purpose. The purpose of the work is to develop a technical project for the production of MFEC with the aim of increasing the energy efficiency and environmental safety of technologies for heating, mixing and transporting viscous and loose materials in the area of the oil refining complex, cement production, coal, metallurgical industry and agriculture. The research methodology includes the analysis of the energy efficiency problem and the feasibility of using MFEC, design and mathematical modelling of MFEC transitional modes, development of software for the implementation of automated design and optimization of MFEC parameters. The design of a single-module autonomous MFEC with improved thermo-mechanical properties and ensuring coupling with other modules for increasing the length of the technological line is proposed. The methodology of designing and mathematical modelling of the MFEC transient modes and the software for their implementation have been developed. An algorithm for optimizing the parameters of the MFEC, taking into account one or more target criteria of optimality, has been implemented. A control system for the MFEC modules operation with support of a stable torque value at low rotor rotation frequencies has been produced. Adjustments and tests of the supervisory control and data acquisition system (SCADA) with the modes of operation of MFEC modules based on induction motors with a squirrel cage rotor were performed.
