Protocols for growing plants, creating a water deficit and foliar treatment with amino acid solutions have been developed, their working doses have been determined. According to the results of the study of foliar treatment with proline and GABA in a wide range of concentrations (0.1 mM - 10 mM), it was established that both amino acids led to the activation of plant growth under normal conditions and increased their resistance to soil drought. Differences in the action of the amino acids were noted. Based on integral indicators - growth activity, relative water content in leaves, content of photosynthetic pigments (content of chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, their sum and ratio, content of carotenoids) in leaves, survival/ability to restore growth after persistent wilting under deep drought is determined the most effective concentrations for individual use are 1 mM proline and 0.1 mM GABA.
