The purpose of the research is to develop the scientific and technological foundations of new hybrid processing methods in foundry processes for obtaining bimetallic blanks from iron-carbon and non-ferrous alloys using sequential or complex action of various energy sources. Research methods included metallographic, micro-X-ray spectroscopic analyses, mechanical tests, physical and mathematical modeling, natural experiments. A three-dimensional mathematical model and methodology for calculating the thermal and hydrodynamic state of the system "substrate – pouring device – die – crystallizer" in the process of heating the substrate, which moves at different speeds, and pouring liquid metal onto it, has been developed. The results of simulated modeling of temperature distribution under the action of electromagnetic field, laser radiation, plasma jet, as well as combined induction-laser and induction-plasma heating of a flat steel substrate are presented. It was established that the use of combined heating reduces the overall unevenness of the thermal field and provides treatment of the surface of the substrate in different areas without reflow, with partial or full reflow of the surface, which allows the use of different mechanisms of forming the connection between the substrate and the melt that is poured. The main regularities of the influence of the current in the inductor, the heating time of the steel substrate, the speed of its movement, the power of the laser radiation source or the plasma flow on the temperature change of the substrate have been determined.
