The purpose of the work is a comprehensive assessment of the technogenic load on the environment and its individual components in the southern regions of Ukraine. The research method is the systematization and analysis of actual, published, and archival materials based on indicators of pollution of natural environments, levels of technogenic influence on the environment and its components, and statistical processing of the available source information. Brief job description: Chapter 1: An analysis and assessment of the level of atmospheric air pollution within the Odesa region was carried out based on the data of automated and regular observations, an assessment of the risk to public health and the reduction of human life expectancy in the conditions of polluted air. A program for optimization of data processing of public monitoring of atmospheric air pollution has been developed. Chapter 2: An optimized methodical approach for the regulation of pollutant discharges is proposed. An assessment of the water quality of individual water bodies in Odesa and Mykolaiv regions for various types of water use was carried out. Chapter 3: A methodical approach to the assessment of pollution of the water area of the Odesa industrial-urban agglomeration by persistent organic pollutants is given. Chapter 4: An assessment of the impact of biological treatment stations as one of the sources of persistent organic pollutants is provided. Chapter 5: The impact of military operations on the state of food security in Ukraine and the world is considered. Chapter 6: The impact of hostilities on the ecosystem services of the coastal zone of the North-Western Black Sea Coast is analyzed.
