The design of compensators is based on the adaptation of their operation to the quality parameters of the power supply of the catenary network. Modernization of the existing rolling stock with improvement of its energy performance is proposed on the basis of developed technical solutions. The basis of the project is a conceptual approach to the analysis of the interaction of the traction power supply system and the traction electric drive system of alternating current electric locomotives. The project is based on a new scientific approach proposed by the authors to the issue of analyzing electrodynamic processes in the traction power supply system, which is based on the assumption that the change in traction power supply system parameters is stochastic in nature.
