The purpose of the study: Creation of new source material on the basis of intraspecific and interspecific hybridization and study of the nature of inheritance of basic traits and selection of new forms for further selection work. The main research methods: measuring and weighing, calculation and comparison, statistical, variance and regression - to determine the reliability of the results of experiments. The main results of the work. Among the varieties and samples, varieties with increased seed productivity were selected. In particular, varieties of Ukrainian selection Glukhivskiy Jubilee, Ukrainian Early, Zorya 87, Perseus and also some varieties of Western European selection - Laura, Ariane, Giane.In the preliminary variety test, 5 samples were selected (Marina/Zorya 87, Viera x Swalof; Aleksym/Lyder, Marina/Ariane, (K-6/T-10)/Mog.2) exceeded the Gladiator and Zorya 87 standards in terms of a complex of economic and useful traits : by straw yield by 0.03-0.41 t/ha (Gladiator standard 1.70 t/ha), by seed yield by 0.04-0.24 t/ha (Zorya standard 0.38 t/ha) . According to the results of the competitive variety test, seven selection samples were selected that exceed the standards of the Gladiator and Zorya 87 varieties in terms of straw and seed yield (Ivanivskyi, (Kalyn.2 / Kor.3) / Mog. 2, Kyiv. / Strunk, Ukr. 2 / Jiane, Ariane / Irma, Marina / Mog. 2, 1505).
