A different effect of the action of growth regulators was established and the variability of the morphogenetic response of genotypes to a number of environmental components was noted. The selected regenerants are resistant to the selective marker, osmotic and ionic stresses. It was shown that the increased osmotolerance of wheat regenerants with a double-stranded RNA suppressor of the proline dehydrogenase gene is the result of a decrease in the activity of the enzyme. An optimized method of Agrobacterium-mediated transformation of new winter wheat genotypes in planta, selected conditions and inoculation period for effective gene transfer during pollination. The effectiveness of the integration of transgenes into the genome of wheat plants in the process of forced and natural pollination is shown, when the frequency of transgenesis is 4% during castration of anthers and forced pollination, and about 1% during self-pollination. The negative impact of A. tum was noted. on the pollination/fertilization of wheat and established the genotypic dependence of grain yield when using different vector designs, the method of the transformation procedure and the period of pollination. It is shown that the selection of transgenic plants in the conditions of the action of a stress factor, which creates a water deficit, makes it possible to select plants with a functional transgene. The development of this direction of molecular biotechnologies contributes to the expansion of the genetic potential of wheat and the solution of modern breeding problems aimed at obtaining high-performance lines and varieties resistant to adverse environmental factors.
