The purpose is to develop a biochemical screening test system for assessing the state of the blood-brain barrier by determining the quantitative signs of post-traumatic syndrome of various genesis, changes in the amount of neurospecific proteins in blood serum depending on the degree of blood-brain barrier permeability violation. The work uses generally accepted modern methods of biochemistry, immunochemistry, histochemistry and physiology, and statistical data processing. Based on the results of research, the distribution of glial- and neuron-specific proteins in different parts of the brain of experimental animals and blood serum under the conditions of post-traumatic syndrome of various etiologies was determined. Under the conditions of experimental models of brain damage, the state of the BBB was assessed according to the level of astrocyte- and neuron-specific proteins, a complex of biochemical markers of carbonyl-oxidative stress, and matrix proteinases in different parts of the rat brain and blood serum. On the basis of a comparative analysis of changes in neurospecific proteins and generally accepted blood parameters in patients with post-traumatic syndrome, neurointoxication of exogenous origin and psychosomatic complications, the prognostic significance of S100b as a marker of BBB disruption was proven. The results have been implemented into the educational process and into the clinical institution of the Clinical Hospital named after Mechnikov to the Center for Cerebral Neurosurgery. A scheme of complex analysis of routine biochemical blood parameters, indicators of carbonyl-oxidative stress and the amount of soluble forms of neurospecific proteins in the blood for the assessment of risk factors after trauma is proposed. The obtained results are relevant for use in neuroimmunochemistry, medicine. Product Description popup.authors Dоvban Olena O. Kovalchuk Yuliia P Lushnikova Iryna V. Muravyova Diana V Skibo Galina G.
