Registration Date 13-02-2023 Organization State Institution "OM Marzeev Institute of Public Health of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine" popup.description2  The object of the study is the adaptive capabilities of schoolchildren. The purpose of the work is to study the peculiarities of psychological adaptive reactions in schoolchildren, which are initiated by the introduction of the lockdown. Research methods are analytical, structural-logical analysis, epidemiological, physiological, sociological, psychological, statistical. A system of questionnaires was developed to determine the impact of exo- and endogenous factors on the processes of adaptation of schoolchildren. It was found that in the period after the introduction of strict quarantine measures, the adaptation period lasts 4 weeks with a longer period of straining adaptation reserves in girls (F = 6.1; p < 0.05). It was determined that the negative factors influencing the adaptation model were the child's history of COVID-19 (p < 0.05), single-parent family (p < 0.001) and problems with communication with peers (p < 0.001). A positive influencing factor was participation in organized sports/dance (p < 0.001). The most significant criteria that increase the level of anxiety-depressive manifestations and prolong the duration of stress of adaptation mechanisms were the presence of chronic diseases (p < 0.001), overweight/obesity (p < 0.001), sleep duration of less than 7 hours per day (p < 0.001), duration of walks less than 1 hour per day (p < 0.001), absence of organized sports/dancing (p < 0.001), screen time more than 4 hours (p < 0.001), communication in social networks more than 2 hours (p < 0.001), duration doing homework more than 2 hours a day (p < 0.001). The methodology for assessing the risk of maladjustment of schoolchildren during the implementation of quarantine measures has been developed.
