The subject is the peculiarities and mechanisms of the formation of geopolitical subjectivity of Ukraine in the conditions of global challenges, in particular in the conditions of a hybrid war with the Russian Federation. Purpose: to identify the key drivers and barriers affecting the strengthening of geopolitical subjectivity of Ukraine. The principles of historicism, systematicity, objectivity, comprehensiveness, continuity, traditional realistic approach, etc., methods of analysis, synthesis, logical, systemic, abstraction, deduction, induction, historical-structural, problem-chronological, comparative, retrospective are applied. One of the fundamental characteristics of the state of modern geopolitics is the traditional realistic approach, which focuses primarily on the protection of the state's national interests. Within this approach, attention is focused on the fact that states are primarily central actors in international politics, rather than individuals or international organizations. In the conditions of increasing modern challenges and with the aim of forming geopolitical subjectivity, realistic and functional methods are combined. Novelty. Within the scope of the project, for the first time, an assessment of the peculiarities of the formation of geopolitical subjectivity of Ukraine in the conditions of modern global challenges and the transformation of the world political system will be offered. The main drivers and barriers are also clarified, internal and external factors of the formation of geopolitical subjectivity of Ukraine at this stage are analyzed. In 2022, the results of the NDR are covered in 2 chapters in collective foreign monographs, 2 chapters in collective Ukrainian monographs, 9 scientific articles in specialized publications of Ukraine "category B", 5 articles in materials and conference collections, in 9 reports at scientific events . 17 media publications were published.
