The subject of the study: perinatal diagnosis, disruption of homeostasis in newborns with PCOS, surgical correction and management of the postoperative period, anatomical features and morphological changes of the intestine in various forms of PCOS, frequency and causes of mortality. Research methods: statistical and retrospective: general clinical, radiological, ultrasonographic, endoscopic. The main tactical achievements of the work include the fact that surgically, in newborn children with this pathology, not only the patency of the small intestine is restored, but also reconstructive and plastic operations are performed simultaneously on the dilated upper parts of the atresed small intestine, which makes it possible to obtain the best possible functional results , to prevent the often fatal complications and disability of these children, including short bowel syndrome. Some of the presented operations were performed in Ukraine for the first time. As a result of the conducted research, organ-preserving principles of reconstructive operations on the small intestine, methods of plastic surgery of the small intestine were developed, the use of longitudinal narrowing intestinal plastics and serial transverse enteroplasty with the use of linear suturing devices was pathogenetically substantiated. A clinical evaluation of the results of operative interventions was carried out. The performed operations made it possible to eliminate partial functional obstruction of the small intestine without the use of its resection. Lengthening and narrowing enteroplasty demonstrate their effectiveness by normalizing the diameter of the dilated small intestine and restoring its normal constrictive capacity.
