The range of load power is considered, in which the greatest waveform distortion of the network voltage is observed. Based on the results of the research, time diagrams of the network phase voltage and rectified current and voltage were constructed for different modes of the network-rectifier system (comparable to the power network), which visually illustrate the modes accompanied by waveform distortion of voltage of the network, and linear approximations of the control characteristics of the rectifier, which reflect regulation process under the conditions of waveform distortion of the network voltage. To overcome the negative consequences of the waveform distortion of the network voltage, a method and a means of preventing the deterioration of the quality of power supply to industrial consumers was proposed. The analysis of modern requirements for the measurement of electricity quality indicators (EPQ) in the conditions of its continuous consumption during the occurrence of damage was carried out, the composition, state and quality of the regulatory support of the EPQ were assessed, and analytical methods of their calculation were determined. The mathematical model for the research of overvoltage in the cable distribution network of 10 kV in the presence of an intermittent arc has been refined. The method of finding a rational variant of cable network development based on the criterion of the minimum multiplicity of possible overvoltages has been developed.
