In the work, an experimental study of the mechanical characteristics of epoxy woven carbon plastics reinforced with unidirectional carbon fibers during tension and compression was performed. Study of prediction of effective mechanical characteristics and strength parameters of ablative woven polymer carbon-plastics, at high temperatures, based on parameters of unreinforced epoxy matrix and bundle of fibers in the process of thermo-oxidative destruction. Comparison with experimental data obtained during sample tests. With the use of a modified package of applied programs, a systematic numerical study and optimization of the one-dimensional stress-strain state of composite and metal-composite cylinders of small, medium and large thickness under pressure wave loading from the explosion of an explosive substance in the air inside the shell and load simulation using the CONWEP method was carried out. New numerical results were obtained on the effect on the stress-strain state and strength of the total thickness of the shell, the ratio of the thicknesses of the metal and composite layers.
