The application of pulsed FBW technology with the use of an intermediate insert made of austenitic steel 08Х18Н10Т is substantiated in the manufacture of railway crosspieces from wear-resistant austenitic steel 110Г13Л and rail steel K76F. It is shown that technology of pulsed FBW provides predetermined energy input into the welding zone and the possibility of implementing specified thermal cycles to prevent the formation of brittle structural constituents in welded joints of austenitic steels and to obtain a regulated pearlite structure of a specified dispersion on the part of rail steel.
