The purpose is to reveal the art collections of the Library, to determin their importance in the context of national heritage; to create registers of artistic works and documents; to reconstruct art collections; database formation. 3,274 graphic works by Ukrainian artists of 20th–21st centuries as well as 7,951 postcards, 3,468 reproductions, 8,412 musical editions, 9,140 pieces of music from the Ossolinsky Foundation and the collection of the Lviv Philharmonic, 465 documents from the collection of Patriarch Dimitry, 1,003 musical editions were processed; 1,430 photo negatives, 6,200 slides, 15,675 photographs and 2,190 cartographic documents. "Ownership signs on photo documents", "Architectural monuments of Europe on photo documents", "Exhibits of world museums on photo documents", "Old printed Ukrainian cartographic documents", "Ukrainian cartographic documents and other cartographic documents of the 19th - first half of the 20th century", "Modern cartographic documents documents", "Cartographic collection from the library of the National Academy of Sciences" were created. The scientific catalogs "Stefanikiana in ex-libris" and "Phaleristic monuments in collections of VSNSL of Ukraine in Lviv", bibliographic index "Ukrainian poster 1847-2005 years in Library's collections" were published.
