Theoretical and practical results: Аn experimental model of degenerative changes in paravertebral muscles was developed in white rats, in which muscle tissue damage was reproduced by maintaining a hyperlipidemic diet and by ischemic paravertebral rectus muscles by ligation with suture material. As a result of the experiment, the relationship between structural changes in the paravertebral muscles and arcuate joints and intervertebral discs of experimental rats was obtained. Based on the data obtained in the experiment, a comparative analysis of biochemical parameters characterizing metabolic processes and connective tissue metabolism was performed. Changes in the paravertebral muscles of patients with degenerative spinal diseases depending on body type were studied, which allowed to establish the relationship between body type and structural features of the paravertebral muscles. Novelty: For the first time in the world, an experimental model of paravertebral muscle changes in rats similar to those in degenerative diseases has been developed. It has been established that degenerative changes in paravertebral muscles can be an etiologic factor in the development of degenerative diseases of the spine. Effectiveness of implementation: The results obtained can be used for further research and development of evidence-based recommendations for surgical and conservative treatment, rehabilitation and prevention of degenerative spinal diseases, which will improve the level of medical care, especially during martial law.
