The definition of the body of variable mass is formulated, on the basis of which the dynamic parameters of the tractor when performing transport work as part of the aggregate of variable mass are substantiated; proposed principles of studying the dynamics of transport units with a variable position of the center of mass. The condition of stability of the movement of the transport-technological unit on the run has been established. From this condition, the critical speed of forward movement of the tractor is determined, if it is exceeded, the tractor unit loses its stability. For the unit KhTZ-17221 + MZHT-10, the value of this speed is 10 km/h. The results of the calculations show that during the movement of the tractor as part of the semi-trailer transport-technological unit, significant angular fluctuations of the tractor frame (in the range from 5 to 15°) are observed, which has a significant impact on the separation process of the steered wheels of the latter. On the basis of the developed model of the movement of the transport-technological unit, the trajectories of the center of mass of the latter in space for trailed and semi-trailered technological machines were obtained. In the most general case, the obtained trajectories are attractors to which the motion trajectory approaches. The calculation for the towed machine was carried out according to the obtained models, taking into account the reduction of degrees of freedom due to the absence of rotation of the towed machine in the longitudinal plane.
