The goal of the first stage of work is to development technologies for growing agrobiomass with optimal energy performance for the production of biofuels. Methods of field research based on the Agronomichne Research Institute of VNAU and the method of gas-liquid chromatography were used. It was determined that rapeseed, corn and millet can be considered the most appropriate in the short and medium term as the main bioenergy crops in Ukraine. Sowing of the first two crops is quite significant in the overall structure of crop production, however, there is a need to develop cultivation technologies that would ensure the production of biomass with high energy values for its further use in liquid biofuels production technology. Millet can become one of the main sources of solid biofuels. New technologies for growing the main bioenergy crops – rapeseed, corn and millet – have been developed. It was established that the highest productivity and energy value is obtained by the rod-shaped millet of the «Cave-in-rock» variety when using 2 cultivations and a row width of 30 cm. The results of laboratory studies showed that the heat of combustion of methyl esters of rapeseed oil, made from rapeseed of the Perseus hybrid, is 9.11% higher than that of the Lagonda hybrid. The obtained results have significant economic importance for the formation of the country's environmental and energy security, ensuring the energy autonomy of the agro-industrial complex and the environmentally efficient use of agrobiomass for the production of biofuels and can be used in the processing industry.
