Registration Date 20-04-2023 Organization Bogomolets Institute of Physiology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2  The functional TRPV4/VKSa/CaV-L signaloplex was identified in smooth muscle cells of rat pulmonary arteries, which may be important in terms of the vascular tone regulation. TRPV4 and BKCa channels are potential targets of some anesthetics and may be involved in the development of vascular side effects of such compounds. In cardiomyocytes, cannabidiol at therapeutic concentrations suppresses the delayed potassium currents IKr and IKs, whereas the outgoing potassium currents Ito and IK1 have a low sensitivity to this compound. At high concentrations, cannabidiol inhibits voltage-gated Na and L-type Ca channels. In rat brain slices, cannabidiol suppresses synaptic blockade-induced epileptic activity. The effect of cannabidiol on cardiac and nervous tissue can be explained by the effects on potential-dependent channels of the cell membrane. The addition of serum protein thrombin to the solution of the plasma ionic composition, which simulates the violation of the blood-brain barrier, caused a significant increase in the frequency and amplitude of epileptiform activity in the CA1 area of the hippocampus. The biophysical, kinetic and pharmacological properties of ionic currents mediated by nicotinic acetylcholine receptors in neurons of the ganglion nodules of rats are characterized. The proton-sensitive ion channel blocker EN300257539 was found to have no effect on the proton-evoked response of primary afferents. Pharmacological blockade of ASIC1a channels by compound 5b has the potential to prevent the development of manic behavior due to prolonged REM sleep deprivation.
