Purpose - to assess the prospects for the development of the public-private partnership mechanism as one of the possible tools for enhancing the development of the domestic and world economies in an open market and globalization, to create a mechanism for interaction between the state and private partners and the basic principles of public-private partnership on a contractual basis through more efficient use of state property, attracting investment in the Ukrainian economy, modernizing industrial and social infrastructure, improving the quality of goods, works and services. Research methods: analysis and synthesis - for generalization of theoretical considerations; descriptive - for interpretation of socio-economic phenomena; experimental and theoretical - for identification and description of socio-economic phenomena and processes arising in the process of interaction between public authorities and representatives of the private sector, as well as for establishing the consequences of such interaction, substantiation of promising areas of public-private partnership. As a result of researching the research topic, the legal, economic and organizational principles and mechanisms of interaction between public and private partners were determined, the principles of regulation of relations related to the preparation, execution and termination of contracts concluded within the framework of public-private partnership were substantiated, and guarantees of observance of the rights and legitimate interests of the parties to such contracts were proposed.
