The following new scientific results were obtained during the research work: the theoretical foundations of the formation of value orientations in children of preschool and primary school age in the process of their harmonious development were investigated; a new methodological toolkit "Diagnostics of preschool and elementary school children" was developed and tested, which allowed for the primary analysis of trends in the development of cognitive and emotional structural components of the value orientations of preschool and elementary school children. The work revealed and improved pedagogical conditions for the formation of value orientations in children of preschool and primary school age in the process of harmonious development, which are: the use of a comprehensive approach to the education of a child's confidence in his strengths and capabilities; the use of special methods of conducting classes in order to support the psychological comfort of children; formation of behavior models focused on the harmonious development of children of preschool and primary school age.
