Purpose of the study - scientific substantiation and improvement of theoretical and methodological provisions, methodological approaches and implementation of practical recommendations for the formation of an innovative mechanism for ensuring sustainable development of Ukrainian MMC enterprises. The following methods are used in the study: abstract and logical analysis, systematization and combination, method of theoretical generalization, dialectical cognition, deduction, induction, substantiation of conceptual provisions, comparative, system analysis, comparative analysis, monitoring, statistical analysis, expert evaluation, cognitive analysis, synergistic analysis. The article proposes and theoretically substantiates the conceptual provisions for the formation of an innovative mechanism for ensuring the sustainable development of Ukrainian mining and metals enterprises, which include theoretical, methodological and applied components, ensure the effective functioning and development of an industrial enterprise as an open socio-economic system in the context of multidirectional influence of internal and external factors. A multidimensional monitoring of the state of the metallurgical industry of Ukraine is carried out and systemic negative trends in its functioning are identified. Methodical tools for ensuring the innovative sustainable development of Ukrainian MMC enterprises are proposed, namely: a methodical approach to assessing the level of innovative sustainable development of an enterprise; formation of the aggregate potential for ensuring the innovative sustainable development of an industrial enterprise on the basis of cognitive modeling of a weakly structured system; information system for ensuring the efficiency of the innovative mechanism for sustainable development of Ukrainian MMC enterprises.
