The object is an educational process in a higher education institution. The goal is scientific substantiation, development and experimental verification of an innovative methodological system for the development of information and digital competence of future teachers of natural sciences and methodological substantiation of the expediency of using the principles of open science, open data, SMART technologies, FAIR data, etc., which is connected with using artificial intelligence in the educational environment of a higher education institution. For the first time, the methodological foundations of the formation of information and digital competence in the process of professional training of future teachers of natural sciences are theoretically substantiated; the expediency of using the integrative and triune approach «education – science – technology» is substantiated. The practical significance of the research lies in the development and implementation of a complex of automated and robotic learning tools in the educational process, the creation of a complete methodological support for the process of developing the information and digital competence of future teachers of natural sciences when teaching professional disciplines in compliance with the principles of digitalization.
