Grabovskyi; problems of literary translation, in particular, the role of the individual-author metaphor as a unit of translation in literary texts and the interpretation of literary translations as linguistic and aesthetic signs of national culture. The purpose of the work: to determine the functional status and peculiarities of the translation of military-political texts, in particular the "White Book" of Ukraine, in wartime; to find out the peculiarities of the transmission of individual and authorial metaphorical combinations by means of the translation language, in particular Russian; to investigate the significant role of artistic translations in the formation of national Ukrainian culture; to present an analysis of the translation activity "rather inconvenient" for the Soviet authorities of the poet and literary critic, deputy editor-in-chief of "Narodnaya Gazeta", "Samostiynaya Ukrainy", "Slova Prosvita" and editor-in-chief of the publishing house of the Kyiv National University of Economics (KNEU) V. N. Grabovskyi. Research methods: descriptive, contrastive, functional, methods of stylistic, lexical-semantic and translation analysis. Scientific studies on translation problems in the field of Slavic studies contribute to the strengthening of interlinguistic and intercultural relations between the countries of the Eastern European space, and therefore, the integration of Ukrainian higher education into the European educational and scientific sphere in general.
