The purpose of the work is to develop methods of modeling and designing sensors of information and measurement systems for determining control and diagnostic parameters of mechanical defects of powerful turbo and hydro generators nuclear power plants, thermal power plants, hydroelectric power plants and hydraulic storage power plants during their operation, taking into account the influence of the working environment (high voltages, powerful magnetic fields, elevated temperatures and vibrations, etc.) and the design features of the diagnostic object. The relevance of the development of methods for modeling and designing sensors of information and measurement systems for determining the control and diagnostic parameters of powerful electric machines is due to the need to improve the assessment of the condition of power plant equipment during operation, which will reduce the loss of funds associated with downtime and emergency stops. The results of research on further development of capacitive sensor design methods of information-measuring systems of parameters of mechanical defects of powerful turbo- and hydrogen generators are presented, which allowed to increase the accuracy and resolution of measurement. Computerized models of capacitive sensors were developed, which made it possible to analyze metrological characteristics and evaluate the influence of edge effects, as well as to investigate the influence of manufacturing technology on the conversion function. This made it possible to determine ways to improve the initial metrological characteristics of capacitive sensors of information and measurement systems.
