 The object of research is the process of movement of vehicles and pedestrians in transport systems of cities and public country roads. Ways of solving the issue of increasing active and passive are considered road safety, changes in the volume of environmental transport were studied load on the example of the city of Kharkiv. The question of the expediency of the definition is considered traffic parameters in large cities, taking into account the dynamics of traffic flows. The purpose of the work is to improve traffic safety based on research patterns of traffic in cities, on country roads, railways moving Research methods — mathematical and simulation modeling of movement traffic flows, in particular bicycle flows, analysis of safety indicators, probabilistic methods of determining the risks of road accidents and distribution laws traffic flow parameters. An analysis of transport and social safety of road traffic was carried out Ukraine and abroad. The results regarding the improvement of road safety have been provided traffic, promising traffic management measures that affect on road safety and improving its efficiency.
